Lifts in Operation
We are lying in a transient area between hot air in the south-east and cooler air in the north-west. This so-called air mass boundary will oscillate, so that air masses with different temperatures are expected. Sometimes it will be warmer, sometimes noticeably colder. All in all, there is a trend downward until about Saturday. Rain showers and thunderstorms will repeatedly interfere with the weather. The sun will only show up in the meantime. Increasingly friendlier and warmer conditions are expected on Sunday. The weather will stabilize. Sunny and increasingly hot weather will settle in at the beginning of next week. The leading weather models indicate a following heat wave: A low to the west of Portugal will bring air directly from the desert to Central Europe (Sahara-heat).
